Some things to consider:

Having a good local network broadband reach is key to Sky Stream.
Not just broadband speed to your house and router, but for your local network supply via wifi or ethernet, that can be affected in a busy household.

Is your ethernet connection direct from puck to router, as some unmanaged switches have been known to cause issues with Sky Q and Sky Glass/Stream.

Best way to test is via a network speed test on each of your Pucks. Not via another device in the vicinity with a Speedtest test as you have.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, over say a half hour period during tests.
What is your speed for each puck?

Sky recommended minimum broadband speed is 25Mbps.

Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD.

If using the Sky Sports live sync, add a few more Mbps to each puck.

Sky Stream unstable

I have Sky Stream with the puck wired directly to my router, with fast fibre broadband, which always tests perfect on speedtest.net when I get the following problem. In addition, I have WiFi switched off in the puck settings. I frequently get an interruption telling me to wait until the program loads and most times followed up with a technical error with the channel. All of the usual basic checks - puck disconnect/reconnect, apps reset and router reset don't prove anything, as by the time I carry out these procedures, the problem is normally gone (temporarily) but will come back again at a later date. When I search the Internet for this problem, it's obviously rife. So what really is the problem Sky Ireland? Please come clean

Thanks for your reply and impressive inventory of your networked products. Please just believe me that I'm well placed to assess my broadband system and its confuguration in great detail. A google search will show that I'm far from alone in having this problem, and I'm sure I will get a reply from someone who is aware of this problem and has had some actual feedback as to what the problem is.

Thanks for your help and suggestions. I'm a single puck user wired directly to my router and my broadband speed is 500mbps (contract) - 250 to 450mbps actual. Connected, I have: 1 puck (cable), 1 Smart TV (cable), 1 desktop pc (WiFi), 1 Canon printer (WiFi) and two phones (WiFi). I've never had the problem watching Sky on my desktop PC via Sky Go (I appreciate its not streaming via the puck).

These issues seem to be the usual problems most people get with sky stream.

I have spoken to sky at length about these problems, an agent did acknowledge some of them, but as they are just little people they have no idea what to say about them unless you want to go through the reboot-reset-reset-reboot- new puck only for the same problems to return.

The only thing I can suggest is to try changing your DNS to cliudflare, you could also try segregating your network if you have the ability to do that.

(VLAN) and setup QOS

I have somewhere in the region of 200ish devices connected, including phones, laptops, game consoles, TVs and 3 stream boxes.

If it has an ethernet port, it's wired.

Had stream for about 4 years, I would say it has improved greatly over the years, but I still have these problems - now and then

They aren't going to admit to their service issues

Thank you for your time in making a great reply. It's much appreciated. I'll have a look to see if I can make the changes you suggest, but like you I think the issue will prevail. Many thanks
