Can a Sky Q Remote Control work with Stream in Bluetooth mode?

Hi Everyone,

I have been using my Sky Q Remote Control with my Stream box in IR mode for sometime, and the original Stream Remote in Bluetooth mode, However the original remote is now failing after an attack by an enthusiastic puppy,

so my question is has anyone successfully paired the Sky Q Remote with the Stream Box in Bluetooth mode? As in IR I am unable to alter the TV volume or Voice Commands, and yes I've tried the 7 - 9 + 1 - 3 combo's with no joy,

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Freddieboy69 I have been using the SKy Q remote as a secondary one for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, after an update about a year or more ago we lost the function of paring the Q remote via bluetooth. Consequently it only works in IR mode now.

The following link shows where you can order a replacement Stream/Glass remote (£29.99). Although it directs you to Amazon it is to the official Sky partner so the remotes are genuine.

Thanks @Fothergill1 saves me a lot of time pairing and unpairing the remote in the hope that it will work! I also appreciate the link you sent, and have now ordered a replacement,

If your Sky Stream puck is in warranty (unlimited warranty) as below, you can order a free replacement Sky Stream remote.

Sky Stream puck:
- Unlimited warranty* if you ordered after 23 February 2023.
- 1-year warranty if you ordered before 23 February 2023.
- *Active subscription required

To order a replacement remote, go to the last page of the Sky help article below and click on no in the ‘Did you get the help you need?’ box and on the next question, click on, 'I prefer to get in touch' and it will present you with an online form to order a new free replacement.
