Volume on Samsung tv very low when linked to sky stream controller

Just changed from SkyQ to sky Stream and my Samsung TV is now linked to the Sky Stream remote... volume is set to 100 and can only just hear it, has anyone else experienced this?

@FionaLG Just to check, are you using the Stream remote to control the volume or your tv remote?

Yes it's linked to the sky remote

Can you try changing the sound output in the settings of the Puck to a different output option.

Go to Settings>Picture and Sound>Sound

Change the Digital audio output HDMI to another setting and see if that helps.

Same issue. I went on to Settings > Picture and Sound > digital audio output HDMI > PCM Stereo.

sorted it out.

Sound is very poor on my Samsung too, one of the reasons I cancelled. Gone back to using my Apple TV box for everything and no sound issues.

Have the same issue trued all options in sound and it's still very low. I've tested the to sound and there's definitely no issue there as when at the same volume it's very loud

I found the audio on Sky Stream low too. I went into my settings on my Samsung TV and selected amplify sound. Working like a dream now.

Thanks, have tried that tho - it's a bit better but still have to turn it up to v high volume. If u turn it to Samsung tv it's loud.

Hi @Blossom4 I have a Samsung S90C (it's a 2023 model) and have searched all the sound options including the advance ones but have not been able to find any option similar to your amplify sound. Could you please advise in which menu you found it so I can see if I have anything similar 👍

I have the QN95A on this model you can access the amplify through settings then scroll to sound mode or going to All Settings - sound - sound mode.

Incidentally I just found an equaliser in standard mode

Many thanks @Sh671 . I have just checked again and my Sound mode just has the following options; Standard, Surround, Game and adaptive. The loudest option seems to be surround which is what I have it set on.

My equaliser can be found under Expert Settings.

Sky Stream volume levels are low compared to other devices. It was the same with SkyQ. I don't quite understand why Sky need them to be that low.
