Remote loses its Bluetooth

We've had the box for about 3-4 weeks, and everything was working fine. About a week ago the remote lost its Bluetooth settings - line of sight worked.

Went through the setup (7+9, then 1+3) a couple of times and it started working again. Today, about a week later, same issue. Line of sight worked but not BT. Went through the setup again a couple of times and its good again, but I'd like a permanent fix.

Also, why does it take two attempts to make it work? Pressing 1+3 together gets recognised, but then it tells me it failed and to try the 7+9 then the 1+3. That then works. Both occurences it behaved the same. I presume it's a bug.

Why won't it remember for more than a week or two?

Try the full unpairing and repairing procedure below . If that doesn't work there a a link below to claims a new remote under warranty (although a user claimed the link was no longer valid - if that's the case you ll have to call sky for a replacement remote)

The remote can be reset and paired again following these steps;

Press and hold 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds.
Press and hold 4 and 6 together for three seconds.
Press and hold 1 and 3 together for three seconds and follow the on-screen instructions.

You may have a dodgy remote so it's probably worthwhile requesting a replacement. It'll be free.

Follow the troubleshooting on here and at the end there's a form to fill in to get a reaplacement sent to you.

OK, I've tried this. Will see if it sticks.

Unfortunately the remote replacement form doesn't have this issue, but I guess I can just pick the closest. Thanks
