Thinking of getting stream, are there still problems with the puck, IE lip sync and lag when changing channels, I have fttp 150 ultrafast. Contract with sky q due to end soon.

Depends on who you ask. Some still have issues, others don't. The only way to know if it'll work for you is to try it.

Changing channel typically takes a couple of seconds as it picks up the stream. And the lip sync issue depends on how you're set-up is connected.

I have my audio output set to Dolby Digital Plus the TV set to Pass through with my soundbar connected via eArc.

I have no sync issues but because of how Netflix works, I don't have Atmos on Netflix but I rarely watch Netflix and my wife can't tell the difference.

Thanks for reply, when looking on here there's a lot of negatives, which is a bit worrying.

@raymond18 standard rule of thumb is you're 10X more likely to report a negative experience than a positive one.

That's because people only typically come to forums when they have problems so you will never get an accurate view just from looking at the forum. It's very rare for customers to visit and post on the forum about positive experiences.

Also if you look at the number of customers reporting issues it's still a very small percentage when compared with the total number of customers that Sky has across the UK and ROI.

If you do go ahead with Stream get rid of the piece of tat that Sky supply as a router, you'll be much better off with a good WiFi 6 or 7 router and Sky Stream will work flawlessly, mine does and I have 4 Stream pucks and no issues to speak of.

As others state, there are plenty of perfectly satisfied Sky Stream customers across the UK. Most people come on to these support forums to moan about the issues they're having, not to say they're having a perfectly fine experience with it.

That's why it's important to try it as there are so many variables with Sky Stream when compared with Sky Q.

With Stream it's up to you, the customer, to make sure you have a fast and stable enough broadband network to supply the service. With Sky Q it was up to Sky and their engineers to install a dish, cabling and box to supply the service.

Sky Stream can be plug and play, as the advertising suggests, but it depends on how technically minded you are and how well your broadband functions, neither of which a forum can help you with until you try it for yourself.
