Remote not age friendly

I'm trying to remove the back of my Sky remote. It feels like it's glued on. Watched videos on YouTube still won't move . My son has tried aswell...nothing. Not very age friendly. I'm 90yrs old and dnt gave the strength to apply pressure. An oversight by Sky.

The good news is it does become easier the more you take the cover off.

Hi @Meg91 YOur right removing the back of the remote can be a problem the first couple of times as it it very stiff. I'm 74 and struggled with a new remote recently so you have my sympathies at 90 😀. Once I got the back off I filed the clips a little to make it easier in the future.

Maybe get your son to try the following, I find holding the remote at both ends with the buttons down and my thumbs on top and then applying pressure and pushing with one thumb and pulling with the other in the direction of the arrow is sufficient to remove the cover. Note the back only moves a few millimetres and can then be lifted off.

A number of people have found that wearing rubber kitchen gloves helps to give more purchase on the plastic components.
