Sky tv recording won’t fast forward

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same problem but when I record programs such as sports it won't let me skip because it thinks it's an ad? I was watching sky f1 that I had recorded but couldn't fast forward because I had 26 mins of ads I couldn't skip even tho it was on the coverage.

I had also found the recordings will randomly jump backwards or forwards without anyone touching the remote so any help will be appreciated

Hi @HS20A restart of the puck may resolve the issue as it tends to clear software glitches. It's certainly worth a try.

To do this go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device (do not do a factory reset). It takes about 3 minutes to completely reboot. You will have a blank screen for a couple of minutes before the Sky logo appears so don’t worry when this happens as you start the process.

Are you paying for ad skipping in your subscription ? If not then that may be why you can't fast forward
