Sky stream remote voice control not working and doesn't recognise my Sony TV

Just set up Sky stream. Paired the remote and while it changes channels, the voice control keeps giving message " Im sorry we didn't get that".... and the remote settings cant find my tv (Sony smart TV) and when I select find my TV it just keeps sying tryin gtest 0 of 0.... Any one got any ideas???

Would suggest trying a restart of your Sky Stream box

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device

Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Many thanks for your help. We reset the box and now have voice control working, but no volume control. However, it did go through 32 tests this time. TV is about 10 years old, so maybe that's it???..... thanks again anyway

By the way that's a restart, it clears the cache and reconnects with an appropriate server.

It is not a reset.

For getting the volume control in the Sky Stream remote, go to settings, select connected devices and go through the TV remote control option.

First try find it for me and like you did before, keep trying the options.

For some older models, it can be trying 20-30 options.

If you have tried them all, go though the control option again, but select Sony as the tv manufacturer, it will probably not have the model, but once again go through the many offerings.
