Sky Stream keeps going into Stand by.

A friend who is not technical at all has just got a Sky Stream box after my recommendation. We tried getting it up and running last week, but it works for about a minute then switches off. I suggested he got a booster for his WIFI which he has... but the same is happening. I don't know if the TV is bringing the box down or visa vesa. TV hasn't exhibited this before on COAX.

No lights on the front of the box, but white LED under front of box is on when the box is working but goes off and TV goes into standby.

Internet signal is strong. but TV is probably 10 years old... trying to run Steam box through HDMI 1

Anyone got any ideas please?

Are you able to try it on a different tv ? This will check if it's a faulty puck or it's the tv

Could also try a different halo port on the tv

and also try a different hdmi cable

I tried HDMI 1 & 2 no difference, I assumed cable would be ok as it's brand new out of the box... but will try
