I am considering moving from Sky Q to Sky Stream but there seems to be a lot of negative discussions from other people about Sky Stream which makes me nervous about making the change. I have a LG Smart tv and my broadband speed is 70mbps. Is my nervousness warranted?

if you're in a busy household with lots of internet use you may see issues.

Stream pucks need at least 20mbps for HD & 30Mbps for UHD

If you want my advice don't, you need at least 25mb broadband and there is also less channels. Things like ff/rw cost £6 extra per month, uhd is an extra £6 per month. Personally I'd stick with the Q

Not sure what you decided.

I have just updated one of my TVs with an LG C5.

The Sky Stream puck works fine with it.

I had reservations, as there is a help article about an LG issue for switching off with CEC and some seem to have had problems with the puck finding their remote.

I did, once the puck started up with the new LG TV, do a 1 and 3 on the puck remote (to remove the previous TV ) and it did not find the LG for the initial volume setting.

I did a settings restart of the puck and went back into the remote menu and this time it found the volume setting on first try.

it starts up TV and puck together fine and shuts down TV and puck together fine all with the Sky Stream remote.

I do also like that the LG magic remote also controls the Sky Stream puck, so you can have two remotes to use.

As for Sky Stream, have a read of my journey from Sky Q to Sky Stream in my signature.
