Upgrading to Sky Glass

My dad has Sky Stream currently and his broadband and talk with Sky, he wants to go for Sky Glass and we have gone through the app to try and do this.

it doesn't seem to offer an option to upgrade to this, it recognises his broadband, but doesn't recognise his TV package, the pricing is just for the TV whether paying monthly or outright.

is there a way to upgrade so he loses the Sky stream puck and replaces it with the Glass TV?

@Reevo87 He may need to call Sky to add a Glass TV to his account if he is unable to add it online.

Is it a case of adding it then? Because if he pays outright it says basket total £699, if you go through the monthly option it's £14 over 48 months.

He currently pays £29 for his basic tv package and £26 for the broadband, so if he was to add the glass on a monthly option it would be an extra £14? Obviously outright would mean no additional monthly charges.

What happens to the sky stream puck as he wouldn't be looking at the whole home option?

I think he would need to purchase the Glass tv first which would add the whole home option and once it is set up then he can cancel whole home and send back the puck. That would be the only way around it that I know off unless anyone knows different @Reevo87

Once setup change the primary device to the glass tv .... then cancel the whole home

@Jporch316 you are absolutely correct. I did the opposite having Glass and then moving to a stream puck. Initially I obtained the puck and a whole home subscription. Once setup I changed my primary device to the puck and then cancelled the whole home and sold my Glass TV.

Although not applicable in this case I had to call Sky to change the primary device as by default Glass is primary and I wasn't able to change this online to the puck.
