My sky stream is 45 seconds - 1 minute behind real time. Is there anything I can do to get it back?

@Dan1007 presumably you are watching live sport a lag is to be expected when streaming live sports events

there is a low latency option on the main event channel which hopefully will be rolled out to the other sports channels in the future

I was yes but even when I watch normal tv my tv is 45 seconds behind my brother in laws Sky!

As explained streaming will always have delay compared to satellite delivered channels.
