I've been thinking about getting sky stream to watch a number of series I'd like to watch. I saw there was a rolling contract option rather than being locked in for 2 years.

It doesn't look like it is as easy to cancel as with other services. If I signed up I'd have to pay a fee up front. (For the puck/admin?), then I'd have to give 31 days notice to cancel? Would I then have to return the "rented" puck and pay the fee again if I wanted to subscribe in future?

If it's just a few series you want to watch then you can easily subscribe to NOW TV (also owned and run by Sky) on a month by month basis. You just use the NOW app on your smart TV or an any streaming device like a Firestick, Roku, Google TV or Apple TV box.

You can pay extra for ad-free and UHD with HDR if you like too and discounts are available if you sign up for a 6 month term.

You can manage the whole service on the NOW website and there are no activation fees or hardware to return.
