Thinking in advance, then TV by satellite will probably become extinct during the 2030's anyway, so do you really need it now as a back up in case the broadband drops? Do you have a TV with a satellite tuner built in? Will your property look more pleasing without the dish and wiring? Only you can make that decision.

I am having some external work done to my house and would like to remove two old sat dishes and all the connect exterior cables . One of these is the dish from my last sky installation about 7 yeara ago. Since then I have had BT and now Sky Straam. Is there any reason why I might want to leave this Sky dish up?

Contingency, perhaps, if your tv has a compatible dish connection. Otherwise, if you're happy with Sky Stream, probably not.

Thanks. I can't say I am totally happy with sky stream (for some reason there seems to be a 'technical fault' preventing me from watching catch up sport when I really want to) but I don't think it is bad enough for me to want to revert to dish.
