Sky stream requirements

Just called Sky 3 times and spoke to 3 different people. Each one said that I couldn't have Sky Stream unless I had a Sky Glass subscription. I have friends who have Sky Stream and they don't have Glass. Can someone please shed some light on this for me

You can absolutely have Sky Stream without Sky Glass.

They're mistaken. You can absolutely have Sky Stream without Sky Glass. You should be able to order it online here, but in case you do need to phone again stand strong because they're wrong.

Sky are trying to push their Glass TVs with a hard sell as it makes them more money but you DO NOT need one in order to have Sky Stream.

Yes there is no need to buy Glass. They should not be telling you this

Stream pucks were only available alongside a Glass television set for the first year after release (October 2021 - 22)

The confusion may be that new pucks can only be acquired with a Sky content subscription (there isn't really a subscription specific to Glass: it's the optional finance loan repayment which applies to that hardware)

Glass is the purchased television.

Stream is the loaned puck.

Ultimate TV or Essential TV is the content.
