Why can't I add Paramount 4k/HDR to my sky subscribtion

Why can't I add Paramount 4k/HDR to my Sky subscription on Sky Stream? It is available via the separate Paramount Plus App, but the Sky Store only allows an upgrade to "Add free" but not 4K/HDR!!!

Paramount haven't made the option available to customers who subscribe via Sky.

A question - as I don't subscribe to Sky Cinema and therefore do not have Paramount+ via Sky...

Can you subscribe to Paramount+ Premium separately and then use the Paramount+ app on Sky Stream to view Paramount+ content in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision?

It seems even if you have Paramount plus with Sky Cinema you cannot upgrade to UHD, the only way is to start from scratch and subscribe to Paramount plus separately via the app at full price,

@Oyodin yes unfortunately that's the only way round it currently

Where do you see the upgrade to Ad Free? I've just checked the Sky Shop on my Stream Pucks and I'm not seeing anything

There is no upgrade to ad-free available via Sky.
If you want Paramount+ Premium you need to sign up on the Paramount+ website with a different email address than you use on your current 'free' subscription via Sky.

Yes, you are right, I made a mistake in my original question, there is indeed no upgrade to "add free" or 4k/HDR.

and it does complicate things if you only have one email address that you use for Sky if you try to upgrade or join on the Paramount Plus App.
