What's The Best HDMI Splitter That Works with Sky Steam

I have a Hitachi TV(Made by Argos) L42VK04U that's 14 years old and that only has 2 HDMI ports on it, I have a HDMI Splitter but it does not work with Sky Stream or Sky Q so what the best one to get, maybe you use one that works, it works with the Freeview box and my PC(Gefore GTX 1060 HDMI) and even mini consoles but not Sky, weird its always had the problem with it....?

My HDMI Splitter is a BANDRIDGE SVB1015

@spannernick1 You need to be using a HDMI Switch not a splitter which is compatible with stream & other 4K HDR devioes.

Typically a Sky box requires such devices to support HDCP because that's the encryption used by subscription television content.

Thanks... 🙂 I called it a spliter by accedent, its a HDMI switch because it switches the HDMI by itself.

@Anonymous It looks like a pretty good piece of Kit but although the thread title says Splitter the original poster corrected themselves in post 4 saying that this was an error as they meant a switch 😀

Hi there, My Sky+HD box worked fine with a Powered Splitter untill a few day ago when my Sky box froze with the HDCP message, I shut it down for the night and the next day it works without the Splitter. Every tme I connect the splitter I get the same message HDPC on the TV screen, it's a new Samsung TV that automatically asks to setup Sky, never had that before, so maybe that's a problem as well so tried a simple none powered HDMI splitter , no good but both the new TV and the one in my Bedroom work perfectly when connected seperately. I could use a switch box going by the information I have found here, what do you think, seems like a switch box is more likely to work. cheers
