I live in a 2 bedroom 60s bungalow solid brick walls. I have SKY fibre and already have 1 PUK box I want to know if a 2nd PUK box would work in a bedroom. You can get various free WiFi speed test apps on your mobile phone if you have one. That would give you some idea of the speed available.

The bedroom TV doesn't need to be a smart TV it just needs to be reasonably modern and have an HDMI socket to connect a second Stream puck to. You'd also need to add the Whole Home package to your subscription which allows your Sky subscription to be viewed around your home on more than one puck.

A second puck box should work in the bedroom ok, and no need for a smart TV. As long the TV has an HDMI input and can do display HD/1080p you should be good. Most TVs now (and nearly all 4K/HDR TVs) are smart TVs but a TV doesn't need to be 'smart' for Sky Stream.

As long as the WiFi speed in your bedroom is 25 Mbit/s (megabits per second) for HD or 30 Mbit/s for 4k UHD, you should be fine. You can measure the WiFi speed in your bedroom by using a speed test app on a smartphone, tablet or laptop.

How fast is your broadband connection and would your household ever want to watch Sky Stream on the two television sets at the same time?

The Whole Home add-on is to allow viewing of your Sky TV subscription on more than one device. Without it, you can only watch a Sky TV subscription on one device: 1 Sky Glass TV OR 1 Sky Stream puck OR 1 Sky Q box (depending on which Sky TV service you've bought/are subscribed to).

To watch your Sky TV subscription on a second or more Sky box(es), you need the Whole Home add-on.
