Delay Stream Puck delivery

Hey!

I ordered Full Fibre and Sky stream. The line is going to be changed in a couple of weeks and services will start in 30 days.

The guy on the phone said I will get the text from DPD for delivery of puck in a couple of days, but he said I should delay them coming a couple of times. I just can't get it in my head why 🙂

Anyone know why I cant just have it and leave them in the box until October?

Appreciate any thoughts 🙂

You can leave them in the box until October but the issue is that you will automatically start to be charged for your streaming TV services 21 days after the puck arrives, whether you turn it on and activate it or not.

Because,

As stated in the FAQ and agreement;

Streaming TV billing starts when you activate your Sky Stream puck* and any subscriptions are charged a month in advance.

*One to watch out for: If you don’t activate your Sky Stream puck within 21 days of delivery, your subscription and billing will start automatically

Assuming form your post that you have to wait till October as that is when you will have your broadband connection installed.

Do you have some kind of broadband now, if so you could still connect it up to that until your new one gets setup in October and change over to that, once installed?

Assuming your current broadband meets the basic Sky stream requirements as laid out in that FAQ above, or it will struggle to work well;

Recommended minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps. Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD

Thanks all - yes that will be why. I still have BT until October, so I guess he is helping me not to get charged for BT tv and sky.
