Better stream availability?

Hi all, Would anyone know if Sky are likely to provide a more comprehensive list of streams for sports in the future? I'm another of those who feel into the trap of opting for Sky Glass from Sky Q, but now I struggle to watch American sports due to the broadcast times as it was all too easy to record it on Q previously and watch at my leisure. I occasionally find a steam for a race for example, but half the time I can only find one for a practice session or qualifying - not the actual race itself. As I'm reading Q is now no longer and option for me to return to it leaves me a bit stuck for watching it at a more reasonable time unless it's "extended highlights" on YouTube. Is there a likely (legal) resolution on the horizon, or am I the only sap watching American sports? Rich.

No sure what you mean by list of streams? We are fellow subscribers here on the forum and generally Sky don't respond. So you are unlikely to get an answer. However if you post what sports you are referring to users may be able to offer assistance. Following a previous update, Sky allow more items in the playlist to cloud recorded. However there are still some issues. With F1 for example you need to playlist it from the tv guide for example for it to cloud record, adding it from other parts of the UI doesn't seem to allow playback.

Obviously Sky have launched Sports+ and this has lots of streams within the app, but non of these can be added to the playlist or cloud recorded. Its not clear if this is due to rights issues (legal) or just by design.

Hi @mikealanr , thanks for the response.

I typically playlist everything I want to watch, but in particular with Indycar I don't seem able to watch last night's race as I only have a link to qualifying and practice.

I had it previously with F1 where it's played the wrong practice session despite the synopsis saying otherwise.

I'd had it with NBA also (when they had the rights) that the game would start at 2am but there was no way to watch it the next day.

I also have a relative who works nights, who couldn't watch MotoGP streams as they didn't appear to be listed anywhere - he's gone back to SkyQ, but depending on how long that lasts I'm pretty sure he won't be going back to Glass/Stream.

@Exiled-in-HH I'd been tempted with TNT sports, but as its all through sky I don't know if it's likely to be any different.

...or NBA pass it is.

NBC sports have admitted that there was a delay this weekend for their On demand of the weekends Indycar sessions and race.

This would have affected the Sky On demand and playlisted sessions and race on Sky Stream.

It is there now.

Go to your playlist where you have Live Indycar.

Scroll down to where it shows series 1 and Other. Go into Other and all this weekends, practice, qualy and race are there.
Plus if you playlisted it, the Indy NXT series race is now also available.

Or use your voice remote and say 'Indycar series'

Select the Live: Indycar NXT tile and the Live: Indycar series tile ( that was for some reason on the second row) and find all three, practice, qualy and race in Other as above.

Hi @lettice. Thanks for the response. It wasn't available around 6:30pm-ish so I've kinda spoilt the result by watching the YouTube highlights. On another note, bizarrely if I say "sky sports f1" into my remote it says I don't have the channel. It's fine on glass but doesn't work on the puck. Weird. Thanks for the responses all.
