Roku sound bar and stream

Hi today I got a new samsung smart tv. Loaded roku sound bar - accessed roku no problem from the samsung home page on my tv. Later on in the day my stream box arrived

installed it - but now when I go to Roku it will load but then when trying to watch a channel or load an app from within the roku system it starts to load then just takes me back to the ROku home screen.

Also I can see no way to click from stream into Roku - when i click the roku remote it makes the sound but does not load roku

I have the sound bar on hdmi/1 arc

and then stream on Hmdi 2

any idea anyone ? thanks

Conceivably the introduction of the Stream puck is causing interference with the Roku hardware: are they physically distanced or adjacent?

That suggests the television is not sensing the Roku input correctly. There cannot be a direct 'way to click from stream into Roku ': the television has to change HDMI input

I'd have to say that a soundbar with an onboard video streaming app is a rather unusual bit of hardware...

Hi okay so yes no direct way from Stream to Roku get that. There is distance between the puk and the rokue sound bar. And the Roku streambar is basicially a sound bar with roku installed on it - had it 2 years it is really good sound - goes into the arc hdmi.

But something stopping me loading apps/channles within roku since I installed stream. restarted network - checked settings - no good. maybe the roku soundbar cant work with stream ...

Also the new samsung tv is great but when I start the TV by default it loads the samsung home page and not straight into the sky stream page. Is there any way to change this ? thanks

weird found the issue when I set the TVS default audio out put to the roku sound bar it wont load / play any apps from within the roku interface. Knock it off for the samsung built in audio - apps then work. Never had this before and the samsung sound is not as good as the roku sound bar... did not happen before i installed the sky puk.

Get a CEC blocker from Amazon. The Stream pucks are known to send out spurious CEC commands, even in standby, which can affect other devices attached to your TV. I had to do this with my puck. Sky refunded me the cost of the blocker as it was a fault of the puck.
