Hi I have recently switched to Sky stream and it keeps disconnecting from the wifi, I had a similar problem with sky Q. Is it a fault? Are they saying you must have sky broadband for a reliable connection? My broadband speed is 500mb so it's not a speed issue. Have I set it up wrong? Cheers

Broadband speed is different to the strength of your WiFi network. If your Sky Q was also disconnecting from your WiFi network that would suggest you have an unstable WiFi network in your home. The strength and stability of a WiFi network varies based on numerous factors which can cause interference including other neighbouring networks, the composition of your property ( really thick walls can block WiFi signals), other electronic devices close to the router can cause interference, the position of the router in the property will affect the strength of the WiFi signal and even the routers will play a part ( a lot of ISPs provide cheaper basic routers as part of their standard packages and offer "boost" tiers where they will offer much better routers).

it may be worth testing by connecting via an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi and see if this helps ( this will at least prove what the issue is). If connecting via Ethernet ensure the WiFi is disabled in the network settings of the Sky device to prevent it from switching back over to WiFi.
