Discovery + and its problems

I know there have been problems regarding access to Discovery. However previously I hadn't really had any difficulties.
I signed up to Sky Stream a couple of weeks ago and after relogging on to Discovery had no issues opening the app. However, these last couple of days I'm unable to log in. I have had two error messages, one told me I needed a new pass (no idea), and today the error tells me I need access to TNT sports, an app I do not want - especially at the price!

Any ideas anyone what I can do ? I'm of the mind to buy a monthly pass for Discovery which would cover the big cycling tours, however would that only complicate matters with the "free" Sky supplied app?

Hi @Jillyb15

There isn't a free app. The app is the same, it's the subscription which is free. If you have switched from Q to Stream have you reactivated you Discovery Plus subscription as per the instructions here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/discovery-plus

Is discovery plus subscription showing as active in Sky marketplace? If it isn't you will need to take out a new £0 subscription but shouldn't need to do the linking again.

thanks for your help. Out of the blue this morning I got a message from Sky thanking me for taking dis+ and asking me to activate via the website. So I've done this, but when I open the sports section I still don't have access and told I need to have TNT. No way, but that's my preference. If the lack of the sports access has always been the case there really should be a disclaimer on the Sky site to that effect.

So I'll forget it and watch what I can on Eurosport, thanks tho! J

There are different service levels on the Discovery+ app🤔

From Free min to Entertainment + Sports max ... included with Sky TV is Entertainment without TNT Sports😉

Well, being a bit on the stubborn side, I had another go at logging on. What I did this time was reset my password on the website, and hey presto I'm logged on and watching the cycling. I did all the resetting via the iPad for ease.

Eurosport is part of the Entertainment subscription whereas TNT Sports is not🤔

Sky's interaction with Discovery+ is problematic and doesn't link up immediately😉
