Sky remote not working

Hi,

I got a sky box a couple of months ago and it all worked fine. About a week ago the remote stopped working properly. Most of the buttons did nothing. Some turned the box off. But the audio searching still worked.

To try to fix it I've tried replacing the batteries in the remote. Plugging the box out and back in to reset it. Holding 7+9 (which did nothing). Holding 1+3 which brought up a screen saying it was connecting the remote and box - when it succeeded it wants me to press the select button on the remote but that still doesn't work so box ends up pushing off.

Nothing has worked and I'm stumped. Anyone got any ideas?

@Tommy_21 The Stream remotes are fairly unreliable and often have issues.

You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth. Even though it sounds an unlikely solution it has got many faulty remotes working again (including my own).

If none of the above help then I would request a replacement at the following link: Streaming TV replacement remote

If you are lucky enough to have one available you can use a Sky Q remote while you wait for a replacement to arrive.
