Ad skipping not working?

I got Sky Stream yesterday, so far so good today when using it for the first time, but am watching the F1 on a Friday for the first time in years as took day off for Stream to arrive. But every 20 mins or so it bombards me with ads during the live broadcast, when I try and skip them it won't let me

if they ruin the race on Sunday by bombarding me with ads Stream will be going back!

Anyone who watches F1 know how to skip through the ads? Sky F1 broadcasts dont have adverts during live play

Thans for the reply. This is my first experience with Stream is there ads displayed during qualifying and the race too? When I had Q there was never any ads in races itself, can't comment on QF as always worked Saturday

Thanks, I wasn't sure whether the ads today were Sky F1 going to a commercial break, or Stream specific targeted ads

@F1Chris1965 Stream has the same number of ad breaks as Sky Q etc unless you have opted out the ads are focussed for you but again in that is the same as other Sky systems.

@F1Chris1965 there are no adds during any of the 3 qualifying sessions or the race, during the free practises sessions they do tend to stick to a slightly more traditional ad break structure of every 20 minutes or thereabouts.

Just watching qualifying and they forced some ads on me after 20 mins, fuming, going to take it up with them Tuesday and unless they stop the ads, which others aren't getting then its getting sent back

Thanks, just the above poster said there is no ads in qualifying so when I got a load of ads at the end of Q1 I assumed only me got them

Overall Stream better than my old Q, picture quality far superior

@F1Chris1965 the on-track action during race and qulaifying is ad free, during the qulaifying sessions there are indeed ads. In fact ther reasons there is a several minute break between Q1, Q2 and Q3 is so the global F1 broadcasters can take ad breaks without missing any of the on track action.

My earlier point was that ad breaks happen during on-track action in the practise sessions only, but don't happen during on-track action in qualifying and the race. Its been this way for years.

@F1Chris1965 if you're watching the live broadcast, there are no ads during the actual Qualifying sessions or race but there are adverts either side of the official F1 world feed during the build up and post race shows as these parts are produced by Sky.

You'll also have adverts during practice sessions as well.

Ad skipping doesn't remove adverts but allows you fast forward through them on On-Demand content providing host platform allows it. ITV, CH4 and 5 etc do.
