Hello,

Thanks for the swift reply. I maybe should have said that i am currently connected via ethernet straight into hub. However i did not know that the wifi could be physically turned off in the settings so i have tried that for now.

I gather its pulling from both ethernet and wifi when its turned on?

many thanks

Morning all,

I switched from Q to stream yesterday. Easy set up and works great, however, it has sucked the life out of my broadband connection to every other device.

I have a BT Smart Hub 2 so unable to split the bands. My average download speeds are 50mb however as soon as the stream is powered on, every other device gets no more than 2mb.

Its absolutely infuriating as the reason we swapped from Q was due to sattellite blocking issues that were beyond our control so left with stream as our only option.

Has anyone in the community experienced this also and is there a resolution? My thinking is the BT Smart Hub is the real issue here but im reluctant to spend £100's on a decent router if theres an alternate solution.

Thanks

Have you tried the puck using ethernet? as this should stop wifi from being used (once you turn off wifi on the puck).

So when WiFi is enabled, even if an Ethernet cable is attached it will default to use the WiFi unless it's disabled.

As a note you may want to reboot the puck (by unplugging it for 30 seconds) after you have disabled the WiFi as I've seen times where the WiFi hasn't actually turned off until the puck has been rebooted.

The puck should automatically turn wifi off if an ethernet cable is attached, and turn it on if the cable is removed.
