topic UHD in Sky Stream

Hello i just purchased the sky puck setup, ive connected in my surround sound. And it wont let me change the resolution to 2160p but if take the hdmi straight from the tv to the puck it works. So im guessing its my surround system that is not up to date. Does anyone understand more then me about this subject?

If your sound system is connected between your Puck and your TV via HDMI, then yes, it looks like your sound system isn't UHD compatible and can't therefore pass a UHD signal to your tv.

If your TV supports Arc or eARC connect your Puck to the TV via HDMI and then go HDMI out of the TV to the surround sound system...

If the TV doesn't support ARC or eARC, you should be able to connect from the TV to the surround system via spDif (fibre optic)
