So my sky stream puck has gone faulty with various issues over the last 3 days and because it is a few days over the warrant period. So they want a £50 charge

I believe that unfortunately sounds about right. Stream pucks distributed since 23rd Feb 2023 as only "loaned" to customers and effectively have unlimited warranty on them. All Stream pucks distributed prior to that, similar to the Glass TV, are owned by the customers and therefore have a limited warranty period where Sky will offer fixes or replacements free of charge.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/warranty-sky-glass
