TV control with sky stream remote

I have paired my sky stream remote with my TV and this works great to turn the TV off and to control the volume. My issue is that it doesn't seem to be able to turn the TV on so I have to use the standard remote for this.

Has anyone else had this issue or know the reason it may be doing this?

I press and hold the remote to turn it off and it works fine, but trying this to turn it on doesn't work. I have tried pressing the power button for different lengths of time but this also doesn't work. Thank you.

When you go to turn on stream just press the home button instead of power and your tv should come on as well @JimmyD

Unfortunately, doesn't fix the problem. The puck turns on when I press the home button but still not the TV itself.
