Ad skipping on Channel 4

When watching a programme on Channel 4 via Sky Stream, I skip through the ads. When I do, the subtitles stop working and I have to reset them every time I fast forward. The programme will sometimes freeze repeatedly when I do this and so I find the way to remedy it is to stop and restart the programme hoping it will resume at the same place.

This is very annoying because there are a lot of ad breaks. Has anyone else had the same or similar issues.

Yup it's a bug with Channel 4's app.

the workaround to the subtitle problem is to fast forward but leave a second or two of the ads to play and then it won't turn off the subtitles.
