MacBook Air screen mirrored via Airplay to Apple TV 4K box works perfectly for when I want to browse the web on the TV.

Having a browser on the Stream puck would be pointless, it's slow enough as it is & trying to type in a web address would be excruciating with the remote.

Adding browsers would mean more things for Sky to support, Sky have never included browsers on their TV boxes.

I've also found web browsers on TVs clunky and much harder to use that one a phone, tablet or computer.

If you really want a web browser on your TV, then check out the app store for your TV. Seeing how the Sky Stream puck needs to connect to a TV, if doesn't really need a web browser supported on it if your TV has browser support.

Web browsers on TVs work only to a limited extent, have slow response rates and with remote controls are not that easy to navigate with.

Most common use on a smart TV I have seen is often for running a running a Speedtest But the Netflix app network checker is the better alternative for that.

I cast my Android phone/tablets and Windows PCs to my TV via chromecast casting through a chromecast or the one built into the TV. For an iPad I use the airplay mode via my Roku.
