Hello,

My Sky Stream tends to freeze, lose sound, lose picture or completely cut off when using both TV and apps.

I have tried numerous solutions and have left everything turned off for a few hours today and turned back on and still no help.

I think we may need a new puck as Wi-Fi working fine on mobile phones.

Just because your WiFi is fine on your mobile device doesn't mean the WiFi signal is strong and stable enough wherever you have the stream puck. WiFi signal strength varies greatly in a room let alone a house and is affected by the layout of the room, the walls, interference from other devices and interference of from WiFi network from other near networks.

most of these reasons don't affect things like simple devices like mobile phones as if a packet drops it can still continue however for a big streaming centric device like glass/stream this will affect the system. Some thing you can try:

1. If the stream is around other equipment, move then e.g dvd players, routers, games consoles as they can cause interference when they are turned on and are next to the device.

2. The position of the puck makes a difference as well. If you have a TV unit that has some enclosed shelves, this will likely weaken the WiFi signal, so if possible make sure nothing is obstructing the stream puck from left, right, front, back and above the device,

3. switch to using Ethernet. Most customers have success as this negates the WiFi strangeth and stability issue. When connecting via Ethernet ensure you disable the WiFi in the pucks settings as otherwise it will default back to it. If you can't use Ethernet directly purchase from power line adapters for about £40-50 from Amazon or Argos as these work a treat and allow you to connect the stream via Ethernet.
