New sky remote doesn’t work

Ive set up my sky today and the remote doesn't work, pulled out the paper presser 1&3 nothing. Then tried 7&9 nothing. Changed the batteries still absolutely nothing so I'm stuck as I can't get hold of anyone on sky and the screen is stuck in the set up screen

If you've done all the troubleshooting on here then you'll need to order a replacement remote from the link at the end.

One other thing to try is to give the remote a twist. Grip it firmly with both hands and twist in opposite directions as if wringing out a cloth. This can sometimes tweak the glue on the contacts and get them to spring into life, but you should still order a replacement.

Definitely try the twisting thing @Padam_Padam suggested.

It sounds weird but it often fixes these things. Fixed my remote by doing it!
