Rewind length on sky stream

Is there a setting I need to change to adjust the rewind time on sky stream? The help sections says you can rewind up to an hour so long as you've been watching that channel. I was watching Channel 4 and went upstairs for 15mins came back down but could only rewind 5mins?

Was it all the same show or did a different show begin 5 minutes prior? I'm guessing the show kept playing whilst you left it and the Tv didn't go into standby or anything like that either.

Also what channel was it? It's quite possible a technical issues on some channels.

Something which may also help is to restart your device by unplugging it for a couple of minutes and then see if the rewind is working as expected.

Hi, it was Channel 4. It was left on while I was upstairs, not the first time it has happened. Just wondered if there was setting or if its automatic. It gets turned off enough for that not to be the issue.

No setting to change, the rewind functionality should work for up "up to 45 minutes" providing you have been watching the channel for that long. it's possible it's a channel 4 thing, also if it went from one show to another during that period I guess it's possible that's also what has caused it.

it does say in step 4 of this help guide that's it's possible some channels could have broadcast issue which affect the live rewind feature.

I guess if you notice it's working fine on other channels it's possible that's true, if it's going the same thing on multiple different channels and broadcasters then it sounds like a bigger issue.

got to admit unfortunately I've never really used the rewind live TV functionality, I've only ever paused a live channel for a couple of minutes at the most, so don't really have first hand experience with this particular feature.
