Sky stream won’t connect with remote

I have been having issues where the remote won't connect with the sky stream box. Remote is working with the Tv fine never the less I changed the batteries. I have tried all the solutions online and have even tried resetting the network. Now I just have the page where it tells me to press 4 and 6 on the remote but nothing happens. The remote will still control the Tv but won't do anything on the sky box. Any ideas?

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/remote-control-help-sky-glass

I.e. Press and hold 7 and 9 together for 3 seconds.

Press and hold 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds.

Wait until you see the 'Your remote is now connected' message and select Continue

It can take up to 3 attempts according to that support article.

If that doesn't work you can ask sky for a replacement remote (we are fellow customers here) or use this form: https://www.sky.com/help/forms/streaming-tv-remote.

Is there a power to the remote, i.e is it lighting up? If not try gently twesting using both hands like you were wringing out s cloth. And try again.

@mikealanr @Thank you so much for your reply byes I have tried all the suggestions to no avail. Remote seems to be working, lights up, chafes volume, switches TV on and off. I'll keep trying to get in touch with Sky

@Dollatron a couple of users on this forum have found success fixing remote issues by removing the batteries for several hours from the remote.
