Sky Stream remote not controlling Bose Soundbar 300

I have a Panasonic TV, a Bose Soundbar 300 (linked via HDMI) and I have recently upgraded to Sky Stream from Sky Q.

The new Sky Stream remote doesnt control volume of the Bose Soundbar. All used to work when I had Sky Q.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Do you have VieraLink turned on on the Panasonic TV? This allows the control of external devices attached to the TV via HDMI.

If you have the Bose soundbar connected to the HDMI ARC or eARC socket then pairing your Stream remote to the Panasonic TV will allow the volume control to be passed to the soundbar.

Try re-pairing the Stream remote:

To pair your Sky remote to your TV:

Press and hold 1 and 3 together on your Sky remote for 3 seconds.
Wait until you see the connected message and select Continue.

Still not working?

Try these steps:

Press and hold 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for 3 seconds.
Press and hold 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds.
Follow the instructions on screen.

Try the various Panasonic options until you find one that controls the volume on your TV. If VieraLink is functioning correctly then it should automatically control the volume on the Bose.

I have a Panasonic OLED connected to a Denon AVR and VieraLink works fine with my Stream remote.
