Ad Skipping on Sky Stream Rubbish

Why is it when I watch any other program other than sky show the Ad skipping is good. Hard to explain. For example on Ch5 I'll watch a show, the ad comes on I press forward a few times and it jumps to the end of the ads and continues with the show.

YET on sky you have to fastforward through the ads possibly overshooting into the show so you have to rewind! OMG this is so 1980's VHS!

Yet another rubbihy sky thing is this, Just watch True Dectective on stream, Ad come on from nowhere, I fast forward ads, just jump in, in time to join the show at the right time...2 mins later I get a title indent as if it's going to another set of ads but no it just continues with the show.

SKY IF OTHER, LESSER CHANELS CAN DO IT RIGHT WHY CAN'T YOU????????? MUPPETS

Sadly I agree with you. The poor implementation of ad-skipping is one of the reasons which led me to cancel my Sky Stream contract.

It's particularly annoying when you find that shows like True Detective on the NOW streaming service come completely ad-free with the Boost add-on, for which I'm now paying less than Sky charge for ad-skipping on Stream.

Interesting that Now Go is better with the boost. I did have it for a short time but I wasn't keen on the Navigatiion and was a bit of a pain with the standard channels. Will look at it againg once my Sky contract it up - Cheers

How long ago did you try NOWTV?

The navigation is similar to other Streaming apps and better than some😉

Sky stream add skipping is rubbish, I skipped an add and the program i was watching jumped 20 mins of the program, on other occasions it would freeze and become unresponsive.

Pu cks are the worst idea that sky has had,when everyone is moving towards apps.

@MoAyaz The software update rolling out should help with this. It's being rolled out to Glass devices and Pucks will come soon.

To add to this inept software/service, the add skipping had totally stopped working although im still paying for it.

Another reason to give sky stream a miss.
