Have been trying to download some of my purchased movies so to watch whilst away...... no idea why I am unable to sort this.

Hi @bonnie102

My suggestion would be to download the Skystore app on the device you are using. Sign in and download your movies in to that.

I don't think Widevine is supported by Skystore (and vice versa) (edit : but others on here may know more about the compatibility )

I tried that link already, but it seems that the error is coming from there. I choose 'computer' but then when I try to download a film it throws that error message up 😞

Try chrome as your browser rather than (I'm guessing ) Firefox? @bonnie102

Edit - I'm not at home right now but when I get back I'll try the same link on my PC to see if I get the same error. I'll get back to you.

What Browser are you using by the way?

My Firefox guess was probably a rubbish guess

Using Chrome and that link the Skystore Desktop app downloaded and runs ok for me on Windows 11 @bonnie102

It shows this screen of my purchased movies and allows me to download one and play it

I just tried CHROME and I am still getting the same error.... I am going to give up now as it is driving me bananas lol.... Thank you for the help though, I appreciate it.

Sorry I couldn't find a solution for you @bonnie102

Most tablets / phones allow the Skystore app if you have one of those with a decent size screen.

When you are ready for another attempt to fix it, and for hopefully better suggestions - you would be better chatting directly with the Skystore support team (although they close in 5 minutes but reopen at 11am tomorrow)

Alas, not, that said I work in IT, and that error says to me that the install package is connecting to a server that it cannot find. Only way to resolve this is likely a recompile of the installation file, reinstatement of the original location, or for someone to tell us what resource it is trying to look at so we can check the PC's / firewalls are not blocking access

that has to be for Sky and the developers to look into.

sad they have not looked at it so far.

I'm having exactly the same issue on Mac, running the latest OS. Just downloaded "SkyStoreDesktop" and when trying to launch, I get:

"Failed to install Widevine components. Error: Download error: 404[undefined]"

If you look online @GrahamW1 (a search engine I mean, not the Sky site) there are various suggested PC fixes for this error message to encourage Widevine to install correctly (these seem to be along the line of - your device believes it is installed and therefore doesn't try to re install it )

These appear to mainly involve editing files within Windows.

I'm reluctant to offer a specific link as I've no idea which of the suggestions will work - but if anyone is PC / MacOS literate there are plenty of suggestions out there - although I'm sure these should carry a warning of "don't do this if you aren't confident in what you are doing "
