Hi. I have sky Q but my sky isn't connected to the internet. Can I still rent movies from sky store. How does it work

Without broadband linked to your Sky Q - although you will be able to watch and record live TV, (and play back your recordings ). You wouldn't be able to download rented movies or any other catch up / on demand content

Is it just your Sky Q which isn't connected to the internet ?

if for example you have an LG TV with an internet connection you could rent and view movies from Sky store on that device.

Similarly you could rent and view on a laptop / desktop but you may struggle to play your content back through a linked TV due to software protection on the content.
