Renting movies

I rented a movie last week, it expires at 5:48 Today, I start playing it then pause it will I still be able to watch it like 3 hours later?

If this is via your Sky box you might find you can't pause it for 3 hours but if you do manage to do this you should be able to watch it but the minute you exit the film it will probably be deleted.

Sorry I only just saw your post - I appreciate it's probably too late for this rental - but my understanding is this - if you haven't pressed play at all on the rental then you have 7 days in which to do so.

From the time you first press play you have 48 hours (occasionally 24 hours) in which to finish viewing

So I think that if the first time you pressed play was - say - 5.30pm today. You would still have 48 hours from then (so effectively a 9 day rental without any need to pause etc during days 8 or 9)

I think that's how it works - perhaps @caesarome or @Chloe-W22 could clarify if they see it differently

But from how I read the post by @Niknak.95 they hadn't yet started to watch the film ?

Hi @Niknak.95 The store T&C,s for rentals is as follows:-

The timeframes in which you may watch Content you have rented may be limited to certain 'access periods'. For example, in the case of Content rented from the Service, once you start watching the rental Content, you must normally finish watching it within 48 hours. Also, your access period will normally expire 30 days after the date on which you paid for that rental Content (even if you haven't finished watching it). Stopping, pausing or re-starting rental Content won't extend the access period for watching it. Once the relevant access period has expired, the rental Content will no longer be available to you. The applicable access period (which may vary for each piece of Content) will be stated within the Service at the time you rent the Content.
