Sky store on smart tv

I tried to view my purchases on sky store via the built in Internet browser as my purchases are 4k "blade runner" but my box only supports HD unfortunately the browser gave the error msg we don't support playback on your operating system. It's a Samsung smart tv

My sky go does not let me access my sky store purchases or recordings so I can't use this

Is there a workaround that let's me watch them in 4k on my TV or is my only option upgrading the box.

Would I lso need a HD and uhd subscription?.

Hi @btree+mike

A few things to clarify then

If you want to view Skystore movies on an app - you can - but you don't use Sky go - there is a Skystore player app which works fine.

You can't view on a Samsung browser. To the best of my knowledge it's only LG which allows you to download the Skystore app

You can use a Chromecast to cast to your TV (other than Premiere rentals which I don't think will cast) - or there are some Sony and JVC TVs with built in Chromecast

You can also use a PC or laptop with an HDMI output and plug that in to your TV

If you've bought a movie on the store and play it online - you should not need a UHD subscription
