buy movie from sky store??

I tried to buy a movie from skystore last night.. normally we d ring and order it over the phone or put in my pin on the TV and order but last night this wasn't possible.. only way to buy was to download sky store app and buy the movie and then use the chromecast to watch it on the TV as the movie didn't send to the box only stayed on the app... paid 17 euro for the movie and took us 45 mins to get it working.. between downloading apps and getting it onto the TV.. this is ridiculous and sky offices were closed so couldn't contact anyone .. can anyone tell.me an easier way to buy or rent a movie from sky store for the future.? so the family don't have to sit around for 45 mins waiting to watch a movie in future

You should definitely be able to buy a movie directly from your Sky box. What happened when you tried to do so ?

If you got an error message my suggestion would be to try a live chat with the Skystore team, explain what happened and they should be able to fix it for you for future.

If the film you were try to watch was a Sky Store Premier one then like other rental titles when ordering them via the website or app they can not be sent to a Sky box as you have discovered. If you want to view the film on your Sky box then you will need to order these via your Sky box instead of phoning or placing the order online. Chromecast as you have discovered will work with rental films.
