Constantly missing calls and problems making calls

My husband and I are both having ongoing problems with calls on our Sky Mobile phones. This is happening regularly and is becoming extremely frustrating.

We frequently don't receive incoming calls. We are often told to put the phone into flight mode and then turn it off again, which does temporarily fix the problem. However, it keeps happening again. The real problem is that we don't know the phone has stopped receiving calls until we happen to notice a missed-call notification or someone tells us they've tried to call.

We are also having problems making calls. Sometimes the call immediately drops, while on other occasions the other person answers but cannot hear us. Again, this is happening on both phones.

I've already swapped my physical SIM for an eSIM, but unfortunately this hasn't resolved the problem.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S24 and my husband's is a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, so these aren't old handsets.

The fact that we are both experiencing the same issues, including problems with both incoming and outgoing calls, makes it difficult to believe this is simply a problem with either handset or SIM.

We both have elderly parents currently in hospital/care homes, so being able to rely on our phones to receive and make calls is really important to us. Having calls silently fail, drop immediately or connect without the other person being able to hear us is becoming a serious concern rather than just an inconvenience.

This has been happening often enough that we are now seriously considering leaving Sky if this can't be resolved.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue, and has Sky actually identified a permanent fix? We're really interested to know if other customers are experiencing this with Samsung phones as well.

I have also been experiencing these problems. I thought it was just a one off not its happening consistently. Especially, not receiving calls. I am a carer and need it to be working properly all the time.

I've also been having the same problem intermittently since receiving a physical SIM this week after my eSIM stopped working 😕 I've found that if I have a good WiFi signal it works for WiFi calling, but doesn't work with WiFi turned off.

I am having the exact same problem, constant issues and if the calls finally go through when the other person answers it hangs up and says number not recognised their end. Been happening for weeks now.

Does a non Sky/O2 sim work in the phone? If yes then it's a sim &/or network problem.
Does the Sky/O2 sim work in another phone? If yes then it may be a problem with the phone's settings. Have you reset the network settings or gone into your account to resend the Sky cellular settings?

I have also been experiencing this issue, i also cannot access the internet which is not helpful when skys idea of helping is sendig you a link which cant be accessed. Totally frustrating

Sorry but I don’t find your suggestion particularly helpful.

If I had another SIM to test, I wouldn’t be trying to get my Sky SIM working in the first place. In fact, if I wasn’t with Sky, I probably wouldn’t be having this problem.

The same problem is happening on both my S24 and my husband’s S24 FE, with both incoming and outgoing calls. That surely points towards something other than simply a problem with one phone or SIM, which is why I’m asking Sky to investigate the network/account side.

I've been having the same problems, my phone has full bars but I can't get online, I'm not receiving texts and no phone calls, I don't even get a missed call notification and I'm currently missing some very important calls! Done all the suggestions but no difference, I only switched to sky when I upgraded to the new Samsung galaxy z fold 8 ultra and now I'm thinking I should've stayed with ID mobile

We're just other users here offering suggestions which may or may not work. I didn't know whether you had another sim or not, you may have been able to borrow one or buy a cheap 99p pay as you go sim.
No further advice will be offered by me as obviously it isn't welcome.
