Calls not connecting or dropping out

Swopped to Sky from O2 about 8 weeks ago - since swopping I have not been able to make one call where I call the number and connect 1st time ! It always appears to connect to the number I am calling, but I cannot hear anything !

Anyone else have the same issues? My son is also with Sky and he has the same issue - I don't think it is phone related as he is Apple and I am samsung

Any help is much appreciated as I am ready to launch my phone out the window !
