Upon taking out new contract with sky I asked for the number to transferred from old account, yet the number you provided is also active with messages. Please can you tell me why I am contactable with two numbers

Not us, we're other customers here...

Numbers cannot be transferred across Sky accounts. Only via a PAC code from a different provider.

Can you explain what's happened. If you've activated a new SIM then it will have a new number and sometimes (because they are recycled) they can be attached to services such as WhatsApp.

Yes was activated and PAC. Code used but the temp number and transferred number are working along side each other one sim

Only one cellular number will be working.

The temporary number will be linked to your apps., e.g. iMessage. You haven't said what sort of phone you have...
