Data roaming abroad

I am currently abroad and my mobile data is switched off. I am still receiving messages saying I being charged £2 due to data roaming. This is impossible it is switched off

Are you making calls or sending text messages, do you also have roaming switched off ?

Hi @Hannabrewis did you switch the phone off before leaving the UK because if you waited until you arrived then that will have triggered a £2 charge.
