i want to transfer my current phone number with sky to a new phone within sky but i do not know if that is possible, as well as enter a new contract.

If you have a sim card just move it to the new phone and doing so does not start a new contract.

thank you, but my current contact i need to change from someone elses name into mine and upgrade it which means also changing sim cards (i think)

You can't change contract names. If it's in someone elses name then it's not your contract.

Hi @Megan173 the only way you can achieve this is by getting the current account holder to get a PAC for that sim then transfer it to another network on PAYG. You would need to order a new sim on your sky account, that will have a new number. You then need to use a PAC to port from the PAYG to your new sim.

...but you cannot move a device to another account, Any swap/upgrade has to be done by the account holder.
