topic Data being swallowed in Sky Mobile

Before I upgraded I had a full oiggybank of saved and unused data. As soon as I was put on a new contract my data was just being swallowed up and I had to keep rolling additional, despite nothing changing or me doing anything differently. I called up to explain, technical checked for issues with phone - nothing and then they upped my data amount for free. I've continued to have to roll data continuously and I now have nothing left!
im due an upgrade but to get unlimited data (which is obviously what I need to not run out all the time!) its going to cost me double!!
has anyone else had this issue?
Any ideas?!

What did you do when upgrading? As you may have purchased an additional SIM with lower data plan?

The only way to isolate these issues is via counters on your phone but you may not have a baseline to compare.
