Iphone 17 Pro Max Network connection issues

Long story, but I'll make it as short as I can. My wife has the Iphone 17 pro max on sky and very rarely has mobile network connection. The phone generally only ever shows that she has either 4G or 5G but with only one bar (on the rare occasion it goes to 2 bars) but cannot connect to the internet or use any apps that require a connection. Are there some settings that we should look at as tried the sky troubleshooter and it was of no use.

Any help woud be appreciated.

If not and if you have broadband at home has she tried turning on WiFi calling ?

Thanks, no mast issues and it's more when we're away from home and not connected to WiFi. It' extremely frustrating as my daughter has my wife's old 14 pro max and generally uses it with no issues when they're stood next to each other.

Can you try a different SIM in it? (Even a different network)

It might eliminate an issue with the phone itself.
