Fair use policy

I'm traveling to France and Spain next week for 3 weeks and want to use my firestick for watching tv on a night.

I have over 300gb in my piggy bank and last year I kept getting warnings about fair usage policy and getting charged.

can anyone recommend I way I can use my data abroad or suggest a sim or a supplier that I can get through 3 weeks of data without a spupid fair usage warning.

i want to be able to stream from my firestick as and when I want without any warnings of been charged extra.

been with sky 20+ years but debating leaving so I can get a sim or contract that allows me to use my data as and when I want.

any suggestions please

Sky's fair usage policy allows 25GB of roaming data per monthly billing period - it cannot be overcome. (Having a large piggybank doesn't overcome it either)

AFAIK all UK networks have similiar restrictions (Primarily because they are charged to use the network so do not offer unlimited usage without restrictions).

A quick google says O2 offer an 'unlimited' bolt-on but is £7 per day extra. (You may wish to check the terms on that as 'unlimited' is rarely totally unmetered).

A local eSIM might be more cost effective.

No UK network is obliged to lose money by permitting you to do so.

Unless your Sky account is in the Republic of Ireland, the right to 'roam like at home' ended with Brexit.
